Briana Wunderli

Bri moved to Dallas in 2015 working as an Architectural Designer for Corgan, a Dallas based Architecture and Interiors design firm. Bri was introduced to Color Me Empowered in 2017 after meeting Kristen at a Business Council of the Arts Board Fair. She has served on the Board of Directors since 2018 and accepted the role of Board President in 2021. Her passion for art was fueled by her grandmother and has always been a positive resource. Bri received her Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design and is a 2021 BCA - Leadership Arts Alumni.

 

Frankie Garcia III

CME Advocate (non-voting Role)

Frankie Garcia III is an Artist, Curator and Arts Advisor. Frankie founded FGIII Fine Art Productions in 1998, as an umbrella organization dedicated to establishing unity within the Dallas arts community as well as instilling purpose and vision into the work of the individual artist. 
“We focus on promoting the work of emerging, mid-career and established artists through professional quality fine art shows and exhibitions, art representation, curating, consulting and advising.”  FGIII provides the following professional art services: project management, curating, installations, art programming, technical art critiquing, client to artist liaising, social media management, online creative branding and portfolio advisement.

 

Dilbag Singh

Dilbag is a Houston-based tech entrepreneur with ample experience in enterprise software sales & implementation. Before joining the founding team of Corecentra | NGOrganize in 2018, Dilbag was a business development & implementation specialist where he developed and executed software sales initiatives and lead generation efforts alongside large enterprise software implementations. In his free time, Dilbag enjoys working with nonprofits in any capacity. Having been working with Color Me Empowered for more than two years, he is very excited to join the board. Dilbag believes that it is incredibly important for children to be exposed to the arts at a young age. He feels that art provides a platform for children to express themselves, think outside of the box, and gain inspiration.

 

Margaret Hunt Rice

Margaret has a background in ministry and higher education, and has also worked with quite a few non-profit organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree from Baylor University, her master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and her doctorate from Texas A&M University in College Station. Margaret has a love for education and believes her calling is to help people develop their God-given potential.  As such, she is fully aligned with the mission of Color Me Empowered and has long been a supporter. She loves seeing children find artistic expression at CME classes, as well as seeing the excitement of children who have worked together to complete a CME public art project. Rice says, “I find the scope of art experiences provided by CME truly amazing!”

 

Laura Turnipseed

Laura Wiley Turnipseed describes her life as a tapestry of “many colors” through which God has given her meaning and purpose. An artistic person herself, she identifies with the mission of Color Me Empowered. Laura says, “I have seen the value of art in shaping children’s lives and think the broad array of art opportunities that CME offers to children is truly amazing.” Laura appreciates the focus CME places on those children who might not have access to art education, while at the same time remaining open to all who want to participate. Laura graduated with a degree in elementary education from the University of Houston and has worked in a number of professional areas, including elementary teaching, interior decoration, children’s television, subdivision development and wedding consulting/event planning – a true entrepreneur!

Katie Cantu

Katie Cantu is an Executive Creative Director at MindHandle, a Dallas-based advertising agency for employees. As a multi-hyphenate creative leader she’s had the privilege of building and shaping some of the world’s most innovative brands over the past 15 years. From Samsung to startups, she’s made it her mission to make the world of marketing feel less like advertising and more like…well, art. Katie’s creative streak began at a young age with an endless array of art projects, felted feline accessories, and backyard musicals; which is why she’s always been passionate about encouraging artistic endeavors in kids. She felt an instant connection to Color Me Empowered’s community-focused mission to harness creativity for positive change. Katie believes art is a truly transformative pursuit, and as a mother of two young children, she’s determined to help CME build a better, more inclusive tomorrow where every child has the opportunity to discover how their inner creativity can change the world.
